Oscar time in NYC
Giants fans may still be celebrating their Super Bowl win, but for movie buffs, the biggest night of the year will be the 84th Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 26.
Though Hollywood may host the actual awards show, New York City is a town that loves film, and there will be no shortage of Oscars parties this weekend.
Movie enthusiasts will want to head to the Paley Center for Media. This party will offer prizes, food and drink, discussion with New York Times writers A.O. Scott and David Carr, all while broadcasting the show on a theater-sized screen. Tickets are $25 for Paley members and $40 for the general public.
Those more into the party than the Oscars should head to Southern Hospitality, they can partake in movie-themed cocktails and drink specials. There will also be the chance to win prizes by participating in the oscar pool.
For glam without the cost, head to the 92 Street Y, where $10 buys a stylish evening.
