Labor Day fun in the Big Apple
While many choose to get away from New York City on Labor Day Weekend, those that decide to stay behind will find plenty of activities to keep them busy over the long weekend. Museum lovers should visit the Brooklyn Museum for "Body Parts," an exhibition featuring ancient Egyptian artwork representing individual body parts.
Those who prefer their artwork on a grander scale might want to check out the Borders sculptures at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza on East 47th Street between First and Second Avenues.

Got kids? Why not take them to the Brooklyn Children's Museum for "Balancing Act!"? Activities include walking a tightrope, constructing a mobile and operating a teeter-totter for plush toys. Or if they are old enough, why not join them on a ride on the world-famous Cyclone roller coaster at Coney Island? While you are there check out some of the new rides at Luna Park.
