A park grows on the High Line
Big news for High Line lovers: section two is now open, extending this beautiful, elevated city escape.
The new section doubles the park's length and connects three neighborhoods along the West Side.
The High Line offers much for visitors including delicious street food and world-class art. And this summer only, The Lot, a public plaza below the High Line at 30th Street will feature rotating food trucks, family activities and other fun events.
Originally constructed in the 1930s as a means of lifting dangerous freight trains off Manhattan's streets, the High Line has been turning into a public park section by section. By the time all sections are complete, the park will be a mile and a half long and will run through the West Side neighborhoods of the Meatpacking District, West Chelsea and Clinton/Hell's Kitchen.
The High Line is one of the unique sites of New York, so contact NYC Limousine to get you there and start exploring.
