Film is back in TribecaThe Tribeca Film Festival returns this month, celebrating its ninth year of bringing quality films to lower Manhattan. The festival runs from April 20 to May 1, and festival passes and ticket packages are already on sale to the public. Single tickets will be available for purchase April 18.
Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff founded the Tribeca Film Festival in 2001 as a way to revitalize lower Manhattan after the Sept. 11 attacks. Since its first festival in 2002, the event has helped generate millions of dollars for the economy. If you'd like to help downtown Manhattan continue to thrive, and see some great films at the same time, be sure to check out this year's festival.
