Art through a child's eyes
There is nothing quite like the imagination and creative spirit of a child, and now visitors to New York's famed Guggenheim Museum can get a first-hand look at the artwork of local school children.
The Guggenheim's "Year with Children 2010" exhibit, running until June 20, showcases the art from students participating in Learning Through Art, an educational program provided by the museum that pairs elementary school teachers with professional teaching artists to develop art projects to help students explore their creative sides.
The students' work incorporate a variety of media including photography, clay sculpture, painting and collage.
