Feel the luck of the Irish, a week early
While St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March. 17, Hoboken, N.J. (located just across the river from Manhattan) will continue its tradition of starting the party early with its annual Hoboken St. Patrick's Day event on March 6.
Like the official St. Patrick's Day, the Hoboken version features a parade complete with a Grand Marshall. This year Bernadette Cunning Pehrson will take on the honor.
The Hoboken St. Patrick’s Parade will take place at 1:00 PM on Washington Street.
Hoboken also celebrates St. Patrick with traditional Irish food and dancing. Revelers can purchase $50 tickets for a hot corned beef dinner and open bar. For more information, call 201-420-7842.
