Wild Things in New York

New York City this week will celebrate the beloved children's classic Where the Wild Things Are to gear up for the release of Spike Jonze's film adaptation.

From Oct. 12 to 16, all five boroughs of New York City are holding special events, from readings to art exhibits that center around the Maurice Sendak book.

On Oct. 13, stars from the film including Catherine Keener, Forest Whitaker and Max Records will take turns reading the book for fans at the New York Public Library. At the Morgan Library & Museum, Sendak's original artwork will be on display, along with manuscript pages and a preliminary sketch of the book's cover, through Nov. 1. On Oct. 12, The Children's Museum of Manhattan will provide materials for kids to make their own Wild Things masks.

For more information on these and other Wild Things events going on in the city visit www.nycgo.com/wildthingsweek.

Getting around New York doesn't have to be a Wild Things adventure. Save the drama for the story, and call NYC Limousine for safe, reliable and comfortable service.
