A little bit of (food) heaven in Hell's Kitchen
Hell's Kitchen welcomes all to its eclectic neighborhood, and there's no better time to go then during the Ninth Avenue International Food Festival held May 16 to 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Since 1973, this event has been a favorite for city residents and visitors alike. Taking place along Ninth Avenue from 37th Street to 57th Street, the festival features an eclectic mix of food from
chorizo sandwiches to pad thai. Of course, you will also find traditional fare including funnel cake and egg creams.
Food isn't the only draw at this event, at this ethnically diverse fair you will find Egyptian belly dancing, German folk dancing and Arabian scarf dancing. Vendors will also be on hand selling inexpensive clothes, sunglasses, accessories and socks.
