And then there's Maude's...daughter

With the weather warming up and thoughts drifting away from work and toward ways to spend vacation time, it is logical to believe some people are looking forward to a free week or two to catch up on some reading. In the City there is never a want for books, especially coveted signed copies. Barnes and Noble on 6th Avenue proves to be a good place to go for author events - particularly for star seekers. In April they've lined up TV/film star Adrienne Barbeau (for her memoirs) and Late Late Show show Craig Ferguson (for his debut novel), the 18th and 19th respectively. A quick search on BN.com for New York City will inform you of other coming events at all B&N stores in the city.

If you are more inclined to write than read (though reading is equally important), you will definitely find this listing of area literary organizations valuable. One can argue whether or not NYC is the most literate city in the nation, but it can't be denied that literary events are plentiful here, and we are always available to take to any signing, poetry fair, and book expo in town.
