Of course, New York City enjoys high visibility in television and film, and it comes as no surprise that every year at least one NYC-based or influenced film snags a Golden Globe nomination. This year, the city co-stars in nominated films Transamerica, The Producers, and King Kong, among others . Interestingly enough, though, NYC resident Woody Allen's nominated Match Point is his first film to be shot entirely outside New York! The start of a new trend? We hope not.
